Tucking Jeans into Boots

In winter I love to tuck my slim jeans into boots (and how I do love my boots).  I love it because the boots allow me to wear slim jeans with a high hip length top, as they create a little bulk and balance out my hips when I don’t want to wear a tunic length top with slim jeans.

If you live in the colder parts of the world where snow is a bit part of winter, I’m sure you’d spend a lot of time tucking too, otherwise your pants would spend a lot of time being wet and cold.

But I hate that bunching up that can occur around your ankle, I tend to wind the hems around my leg before I put them into boots, but now I’ve just come across a new solution – Jean Straps – which holds your jeans down so they don’t bunch up when putting on your boots.

It seems like it might be a nifty little gadget – they sell for $9.99US so won’t break the bank.

The kind people at Jean Straps have given me a pair to GIVE AWAY to one lovely reader.

To be in to WIN leave a make sure you’re following my blog and leave a comment and I’ll draw a name out of the hat – announcing the winner on Saturday 28 November.

    Brilliant idea.

My jeans always work out and bunch above the boots. Most unattractive.

    • Because of female’s courageous cross-dressing piece-meal over the decades, by the late 1960’s the transvestism dam broke and females cobbled up menswear for themselves ever since, so much so, that they have much more freedom within historical menswear than males; how is that for the ultimate sexiism ?Examples : this whole article about skinny pants with or without stirrups, cowboy or tall leather riding boots became overnight women’s fashion boots !

    These look awesome!

Maybe I'm dating myself, but I had some of these in high school. You could make any pants into "stirrup pants". Wow, bad flashback! That being said, I'd love to have some of these.

Great idea, thanks for sharing. Cute boots are on my Christmas list!

Awesome little invention!!! i honestly haven't even tried wearing my boots over my pants for that reason! If I win these, I'll have a new look to try!!!!! =)

not only do I remember them for making your own stirrup pants, but I think Mom used them on my snow pants when I was little. Don't need them now, the last time pants in high boots was in style (80's?) I had it pointed out that I no longer had the figure to carry it off successfully – GRRRR.

My jodhpurs (with stirrups) always fitted into my riding boots – so why didn't I think of this for my jeans…briliant idea!

I don't know whether this is open worldwide, but here goes…

I don´t have the problem with the tucking in, but only few jeans, the ones I like ( slim ), can be worn cuffed over the boots. I don´t want to wear boot cut jeans, and I´m not so into tucking them inside my boots. Well, I guess I have to wear booties and cuffed jeans!

I just bought a great pair of knee high boots and skinny jeans to go with them and every time I try to wear them they make me look like I have cankles because they get all bunchy.

    Awesome idea! I want them!

I've been hoping to find something just like this for my jeans, I don't love skinnies so I have just a straight leg pair I like to wear tucked into my jeans. I have resorted to tucking them into my socks which doesn't feel right. Oh how I hope I win this great gadget, or at least find out where to buy them….

  • Nicole says:

I would love to try these! I've just recently bought a pair of boots, and I'm sooo ready to try tucking my jeans inside them. This would make a tucking-novice such as myself feel like a pro!

I love tucking jeans into boots. This seems like a great solution to that bunching issue!

  • metscan says:

My daughter uses her below knee length capri jeans with tall boots. No tucking in needed.

This is great! And the metal clips don't dig into your ankles? I'd love a pair!

If you don't mind plain elastic, you can make your own – they sell the clips at fabric stores, just but elastic in the right width. Much cheaper than $10, plus shipping!

I just discovered this website and LOVE it. Especially the large bust advice.

You could also go to the WalMart and search the linen section for very similar clips that are for keeping your fitted sheets on the bed. I have some and just wish I had some tall boots to tuck them into. I don't think it works for cowboy boots. Maybe Christmas I'll get some! : )

Another product for the same purpose – JeanGrabbers. The fact that they work well AND are super cute makes them my favorite so far. Three different designs, the elastic strap is silky soft, and the clips which have different metallic finishes also have a darling little boot embossed on each. Less than $10, cheap shipping, no tax! Check them out, see what you think. (www.jeangrabbers.com)
